FAQ

How do I charge my E-bike?

As a general rule, your bike will be fully charged in 6-8 hours. We recommend fully charging it overnight when you first receive your new bike.

Please note that the battery pack will experience a decrease in capacity over time due to charge and discharge cycles. To help maintain its longevity, it is recommended to fully discharge the battery before recharging.

How should I store my E-bike and battery?

Proper storage of your e-bike and battery is important for maintaining their performance and longevity. Here are some guidelines for storing both:

For the E-Bike:

1. Store in a Dry, Cool Place:

Keep your e-bike in a dry and well-ventilated area to avoid exposure to moisture, which could cause rust and damage to electrical components.

2. Avoid Direct Sunlight:

Direct exposure to sunlight can cause damage to the bike’s paint and affect sensitive components. Store your bike in a shaded area or inside a garage or shed.

3. Protect from Dust and Dirt:

Dust and dirt can accumulate on your bike if stored improperly, leading to unnecessary wear. Consider using a cover to protect it from dust, especially if stored long-term.

4. Keep the Bike Upright:

Store the bike upright or on a bike stand to avoid unnecessary pressure on the tires or other parts. This will also prevent the bike from falling over.

For the Battery:

1. Remove the Battery When Storing for Long Periods:

If you plan to store your e-bike for an extended period (several weeks or months), it is best to remove the battery. This prevents any potential damage to both the bike and the battery.

2. Store in a Cool, Dry Place:

As with the bike, store the battery in a cool, dry location away from moisture. Avoid areas with high humidity (e.g., basements) or very hot areas (e.g., near a radiator or in a car under direct sunlight).

3. Check Battery Regularly:

If storing the battery for a long period, it’s a good idea to check its charge every 1-2 months and recharge it to around 50-70% if needed.

By following these tips, you can ensure your e-bike and its battery remain in good condition, ready for use when you need them!

How should I maintain my E-bike?

Like any vehicle, electric bikes need regular maintenance. This includes cleaning the bike, checking and maintaining key components like the battery, tires, brakes, chain, and motor, and scheduling professional servicing at a service center when needed.

A quick check-up goes a long way, take your e-bike in to your local bike store for a once-over prior to 50km.
